    Deleting Windows.old

Recently I installed Windows 8 Pro. Everything went well. No real problems, just a little learning curve. I decided to delete "Windows.old" subdirectory. It will not allow me to do so. Does that mean it should not be deleted, or that I haven't discovered how to do so? Can someone instruct me on how to go about it? I've used a couple of programs trying to delete the files, but they don't seem to work.

Use DiskCleanup to do it. Here is a good description of how to do it: http://getdigitize.com/windows-old-f...-disk-cleanup/
