    People don't need Windows anymore

    http://www.pcworld.com/article/20207...liability.html

People don't need Windows anymore. That's why Microsoft made Windows 8 as a tablet OS. They're trying to stay relevant.

Never thought I'd live to see the day.

Interestingly, the guy who wrote the article is named "Null". I wonder if that means anything?

Just another Mac boy trying to laud Apple while putting down Windows. All I can say is a few percent of the world market share is not enough to cause me to even look twice at them. And the survey, what does he think Apple customers would say?

I'm not an Apple fan, but...
Maybe it's because everytime one buys a PC, one has to decrapify it before one can get any real performance out of it. (as far as performance goes)
MAC Book "Air" tends to be more aesthetically pleasing in design, although Lenovo laptops have the best keypads imo.
People are highly subjective creatures t00, Null withstanding.

Invest a little time and energy in a well thought out BACKUP regimen and you will have minimal down time, and headache.

Build your own system; get everything you want and nothing you don't.

I found the reader comments very entertaining. One amusing theme was that Apple users are going to automatically assume that Apple is good stuff, even when they see a flaw or problem with an Apple product right before their eyes.

Need to listen to Gordon Ung's rants on the Maximum PC podcast from years past, he's railed on the subject long and hard and funny.

Exactly what I'be been writing about, does Microsoft keep up with the Googs and the Apples or do they go have a seat with IBM.
