Purchased a shinny new XP Pro SP3 Full Version

And my question is what settings do I have to adjust in Nero to make a copy of this disk to keep if the new one gets damaged.
I tried to make a disk copy and said I needed to change the settings to copy it on dvd+r 4.3g. Thanks for any help.

I always use CD Burner XP for my burning needs. Free and full featured.
I copy the CD/DVD to ISO and store on hard disk and therefore in my backup. To re-create the CD/DVD you can burn the ISO to disk or use 7zip to extract the ISO to hard disk.

    cheers, Paul

Thanks for the info, I have a paid version of Nero which would prefer (as it's paid for to use ......will this do the same job?
It's nice to do a Disk Copy and put it in a safe place and it's there if I need it without having to make a disk from an iso.
I have a trading program that runs all day and collects lots of data, every 3 or 4 months it starts getting slow and quirky.
I have the program disks and data backed up so in a few hours I have it reformatted with fresh XP Pro then install trading
programs and am back to square-one.
It's a tad of a pain but the software is also tad old and this procedure seems to work fine.

    Many thanks, Dave

Nero will copy CDs and save to hard disk - it uses the NRG format. There are several utilities which will convert it to ISO.
Burning CDs can result in CDs that only last a year or two, so I always have an image on hard disk.

Have you tried the open source JStock for trading?

    cheers, Paul
