    Distribution list display (2000 SR-2)

I have a distribution list that I use in Office 2000. When I send a note using this list, the recipients always get a list of all the other members. This list is getting quite large.

Is there a way to just have the distribution list name show up, instead of all of the members ?

If you use the BCC they won't show up. In a new message use View/BCC.

Egghead is spot on with this one Chris. Only distribution lists that are created and managed on Exchange servers are delivered to addressees with just the distribution list name. Any that you create personally within Outlook are broken down to the individual email addresses contained within them.

To get around this, as egghead says, just use the BCC field instead of the TO field to put the distribution list name into. That way the addressees will not get a huge list of everyone that the email has gone to.

    Cheers,

Than you both. I appreciate this.
