    Unhappy Microsoft Security Essentials-Scheduled scans

    Hi
I have been using Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) now for a number of years without any problem until 2 weeks ago.
I run a scheduled full scan every Saturday at 10:00pm,suddenly on Sat.22.Dec 2012 the scan did not happen and has not done so since.
I have checked the settings page on MSE and it shows that a scan is scheduled for every Sat. at 10:00Pm.
I have tried setting the scan for different days and times still does not work. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling MSE Still no effect.
I can manually run a scan with no problem.
Has anyone please any ideas why the scheduled scan suddenly stopped working and how to fix it.
    I have Windows 7 Home Premium SP1.
    Any help greatly appreciated.

Do you run CCleaner? If so, go to applications and uncheck MS Security client in CCleaner and then run a MSE scan. CCleaner will clear the MSE scan logs by default. It usually ends up with continual warnings about no having done a scan but maybe its affecting scheduled scan in you case.
