    Tab Controls on Forms (A2K SR1)

    I would like to have a form witha tab deck on it. On one of the tabs I would like to put another tab deck. Does anyone know if this is possible?

    Thanks,

    I doesn't look like you can, but you should be able to make it appear like the tab control is on top of the other tab control with some VBA. You would just set the visible property to false, except when you click that tab, then set the visible property to true.

    Start by placing a tab control on your form and select what tab the second tab control will go on.
    Next position the second tab control where to want it and set the visible property to false
    Then place this code in the form module, change the controls names to match your.

    Private Sub TabCt1_Change()
    Select Case Me.TabCt1.Value
    Case 0 'Tab # 1
    Me.TabCtl2.Visible = False
    Case 1 'Tab #2
    Me.TabCtl2.Visible = True
    End Select
    End Sub

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks, the only other thing I can think of is to use a subform on one of the tabs. Not really a show stopper here, just looking to see if it could be done.

    Thanks!

    That is the way you nest tabs. You put a subform on the parent tab page and put a second tab control on the subform. The reason you can't do it directly is that tab controls aren't containers in the sense that subforms are, so you can't nest tab controls any more than you can nest textboxes. <img src=/S/shrug.gif border=0 alt=shrug width=39 height=15>
