    Conditional Formatting

    Hello,

    I'm having problems using the Format all cells based on their values selection in conditional formatting, I'm using percentage ranges, such as >=90 is green, >=80 yellow and <=80 red and it keeps making everthing green.

    HELP

    Thank you!

    Hi tbone40

    Try the following, assuming your data is in column A.

    >=90%: =$A1>=0.9

    >=80%: =AND($A1>=0.8,$A1<0.9)

    < 80%: =AND($A1<>"",$A1<0.8)

    Thanks for the response Kevin!

    I'm not sure I understand exactly, the selection I'm using is Icon Sets (Stoplights) and it starts "when value is" which for would be >=90 (Green) and then type which I would select percent, then next would be the same only changing percent number to 80 and making it yellow and then it determines that anything less I want Red. I tried typing in your suggestions in teh Value boxes, but I kept getting errors.

    Hi Kevin,

    That is exactly what I have, I failed to mention that I have formula's from other tabs feeding into the percentages in the column, could that be what's casuing it?

    Thanks again!

    Fill formatting

    Use the Rule type of "Format only cell that contain". Create 3 rules (1 for each range). Format the fill color. You did not specify if you needed icons or such. Cell values can be fed from formulas referencing other cells.

    Hi tbone40

    Perhaps upload a sample worksheet. Do you have any other Formatting in those cells, might be worth looking into the Conditional Formatting Rules Manager.
