    Disable IE9 popup message

When boot up receive this pop up message: “Browser settings change detected.
A potentially malicious change to your browser settings has been detected and blocked.
To stop browser change settings click here.

Clicking results in: “Are you sue you want to disable browser setting protection?” “Yes” “No”

What is to be done to remove it?

    Thank you, JLD

This warning is not from IE9 but from an add-on called Windows Core Toolbar which is connected with Searchbrowsing.com by Search Core Systems.

Check IE9 Manage add-ons for such a toolbar and check Control Panel, Programs and Features for Search Core System or Windows Core System: Uninstall if found.

Is there an entry in CP, Programs and Features? If so it should be able to be deleted.

You could also look using Revo Uninstaller for the entry, and if it's there uninstall from Revo.

I would also use CCleaner to look for leftovers from that app in the registry.

    Thank you for these suggestions.

Have considered and tried all but problem still exists.

Have used Revo for years. Ditto CCleaner.

Do not see anything installed to remove.

It's also known as "SearchAmong Toolbar": SOLVED Popup Warning!

You could also look for C:\Program Files (x86)\Search Core Systems\Windows Core Toolbar\wcupdt.exe

Which toolbar did you find and disable?
