    What software drives the Lounge?

Working with a group considering forum software. Maybe I've missed it, but I looked around and didn't find an indication of what it is. And who hosts the Lounge?

vBulletin is the best traditional forum solution. It is fairly expensive compared to free alternatives, which don't offer the same degree of community support and functionality.

Huddler is another good community option, but may also be expensive.

For small projects, which don't require added functionality/plugins (vbulletin has a lot of great plugins), free alternatives are good options. They aren't as good to administer as vbulletin, being less convenient for admins and moderators.

Our hosting provider is LiquidWeb. But there are a lot of good hosting providers out there, just need to find one that suits your needs. We are owned by iNet Interactive, who also operates WebHostingTalk where a lot of people go for help choosing a hosting provider. They can steer you in a good direction if you need help with hosting. www.webhostingtalk.com

With the introduction of the 4.x series, vBulletin is available as two product lines, the vBulletin Publishing Suite and the vBulletin Classic Forum. License was changed to be valid through the entire life of the 4.x development cycle.
