    COM Surrogate has stopped working

If I check the Action Center, it is always C:\Windows\SysWOW64\dllhost.exe that shows as the issue.

All the Google reports seem to point to Nero, which I don't have.

What might be the cause here, and how can I fix it?

    Regards,

Jerry, I'm coming up empty-handed. I don't use NERO, and I haven't installed new or old copies of DivX. I ran sfc with the scanfile switch and it said that the offending file -- dllhost.exe -- is fine, so I'm at a loss as to what to try next.

If you get this error on boot, try a clean boot.
