How to insert a pitcure into a protected docment

    Loungers

On a protected word document, it there a way to allow for a picture to be inserted. Have "Text Form fields" inserted to allow text to be inserted in the fields, but can't see how to allow picture to be inserted.

    Any thoughts/suggestions woudl be appreciated.

    Thanks

Try using the Picture Content Control if your documents are saved in docm or docx formats. This can be found on the Developer Tab in the Controls group.

If you don't have your Developer Tab showing, let us know what version of Word you are using so we can tell you how to turn it on.

Sorry, in that case this won't work for you - Content Controls were introduced in Word 2007.

You will probably need to add continuous section breaks and lock the other sections but leave the section where you want the graphic inserted to be unlocked. Have a look at this thread for a similar question with answers. http://windowssecrets.com/forums/sho...l=1#post566265

You could insert the picture into an unprotected Section via an INCLUDEPICTURE field. This, of cource, means establishing a link to the picture, but that can be broken post-insertion via Ctrl-Shift-F9. Alternatively, if you create an INCLUDETEXT link to an external document (before applying forms protection), perhaps with relative path referencing, you can insert the picture into the external document and have it appear in the form without the need for an unprotected Section. Either way, with forms protection applied, you cannot directly insert a picture into a document or manipulate an existing picture - even in an unprotected section.
