    I read the article earlier and I don't think Java is any worse than a host of other downloadable apps that include addons prechecked. You just have to be alert in the download process and not blindly check next. I can't recall ever getting an unwanted add on by following this practice. I have run across PCs that I've service with up to four unused toolbars in the browser that significantly slowed them down as well as taking up screen real estate. Java has mush bigger problems than this.
