    Option to Zip Attachments

    Hi,

    I use outlook 2003 and winzip 9.

Looking for a way where outlook while before attaching the files, prompts for zipping them . If a "yes" is selected then the attachments get zipped without the user to initiate compression manually. Also if possible, provides a password encryption prompt for the zipped file incase required?

    Appreciate inputs / suggestions.

    Regards

    Hi Roderunner
Thanks for your response. I can only use winzip 9 and outlook 2003. Looking for an automated compression while using outlook mail. In the normal process, all attachments get attached in their original
state. looking for a macro which use shell commands to execute winzip and attach a zipped content against their normal state.
    Thanks

Winzip Courier would allow you something close to what you want. It won't prompt, but allows you to decide, rather easily, whether attachments will be compressed or not.

    Hi Ruirib,
Thanks for the link. Winzip courier is pretty close to what I was looking for. However, we use winzip 9 and it doesn't have the options which courier provides. Unfortunately, cannot use anything other than winzip 9.
I am searching for a macro which can initiate winzip to zip the attachements within outlook mail itself.

    Thanks
