    Does this help?

    <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/1bc66.htm>JavaScript Error "...Doc.mailDoc is not supported..." or "...Doc.mailForm is not supported..." in Acrobat 4.0 Viewer</A>

Detailed specs for this function are in <A target="_blank" HREF=http://partners.adobe.com/asn/developer/pdfs/tn/5186AcroJS.pdf>this 300 page manual</A>.

Although the help page hasn't been updated, what I think it is saying is that the free Reader software doesn't support this option at all. Maybe Adobe has a different command that would accomplish the same thing for Reader users?
