    Can't post files

Is there any generic reason why I can't post messages with attached files onto the Lounge boards? Plain messages are OK; attached-file messages just time-out. Are there any issues with security and firewalls that I should configure on my machine?

IE5.5 on win 98. Linux firewall.

We have a 100k size limit - it sounds as though your attachment may be too big.

    Re: Can't post files

I've tried various extensions - zip, ppt, xls, doc. All files checked, and confirmed less than 100 k. My son is also having trouble trying to post small JPG files onto Geocities.com. Failure with both HTTP and FTP protocols. Looks like there might be something systematic on my machine that is causing the problem.

    Thx anyway for the input.

Replaced the Linux box firewall with a dedicated router and it works fine.
