'Cannot initialize Visual Basic Environment' (German, Word 97, Win. 98)

On one particular machine I get a message like "Cannot initialize Visual Basic environment" when I try to run an existing macro in Word. Is there any solution short of re-installing Office?

    Thanks for any tips,

    Ed,

You might want to try doing a search on that phrase on the MS Knowledge Base - I recall reading this can be caused by a network permissions problem where the user doesn't have write access to a temp folder which Word/VBA needs in order to create temp files related to the VBE - you should be able to find more details on this there.
