    George,

There is a single post in that thread, made on the 26th January, so why should it show in today's posts or posts made in the last 24 hours?

When a new thread is made in the Windows 7 forum, (for example) it shows when accessed using the 'Quick Links' tab.

    Hi Rui,
I removed the reply I made to that new thread and it disappeared from the 'Quick Links' view.

    George,

The topic won't show up in either of the Quick Links when the last post made is 5 or 6 days old. One of the links will give you only posts updated today and the other posts made / updated in the last 24 hours. Posts older than that do not show.

Does this clarify what is happening or am I missing something?

It appears to me that the "Today's Posts" and "Posts in the Last 24 Hours" links do the same thing. They both return links to threads which have had activity in the last 24 hours.

I have noticed that also, and that is how I normally search for new posts. I think i'll switch to using the 'What's New?' tab.

    George,

New Posts will show you all threads with unread posts, regardless of the time the last post was made in those threads. Both Today's posts and Posts in the last 24 hours will show you all posts regardless of whether you read those or not.

All seems to be working properly, if you do not consider the apparent absurdity of both Today's posts and Posts in the last 24 hours showing you the exact same posts. I only use New Posts to check what I haven't read yet.

    Hi Rui,
I can't understand how I missed the new thread in the Non Outlook E mails forum as I visit The Lounge multiple times daily.

    Hi Joe & Rui,
it seems that "Today's Posts" & "Posts in the Last 24 Hours" links do the same thing, as does 'New Posts' & 'What's New?'

The thread in the Non-Outlook forum to which you refer is dated January 26, 2013. Therefore, it will not be in either "Today" or "Last 24 Hours". Are you saying you did not see it within 24 hours of when it was originally posted?

Yes Joe, it also never appeared when using the 'New Posts' or What's New?' tabs where the last post date is Jan 22 2013.

    Hi Rui,
This thread posted on Feb 01 2013 @ 21.05 does not show if I use the New Posts or What's New? tabs. It does show in the Quick Links 2 options.
