Visual Basic is disabled in Office 2013

I just installed Office 2013 and on excel when you look a Visual Basics it's enabled. After it sits for a while you go back in and look and it's disabled. Does any one know why??

Are you referring to Design mode toggling on and off OR the entire developer tool bar enabled then disabled (greyed out)? If it is being greyed out, this will occur when you are editing a cell and have not yet pressed enter to complete the cell edit. Are you in the VB editor or the Excel worksheet interface? Please be more clear with your scenario

Just a shot in the dark but try disabling auto save and see if it continues.

That didn't work. Maybe I didn't look in the right place. Is it under options and save? Now this morning about half the developer toolbar is enabled and as to yesterday all was grey out. The VB button is still greyed out.

If it were me, I would uninstall then re-install 2013 with all defualts avoiding a custom install. Although many have had no problems with multiple versions co-existing, I would also make sure 2013 goes solo. There is not a whole lot of documentationon it yet. I hope someone else might have more to offer.

    Hi

I have four versions of Excel on my Windows7 laptop.
    (2003, 2007, 2010, 2013)
    They all live happily together.

My Excel 2013 does not behave as reported.
