    Hyper V - Memory on server 2008 R2

    Hi all,

    Can someone please advise.
I have a Host server where 4 virtual servers run.
    - Main Host server has 36GB of RAM physical memory
    - Virtual server 1 IIS. has 6GB of RAM
    - Virtual server 2. has 4GB of RAM
    - Virtual server 3 SQL. has 16GB of RAM
    - Virtual server 4. has 4GB of RAM

Physical memory avaliable = 36GB, currenly total llocated memory to virtual servers 30GB.
I was thinking to increase the RAM for Virtual server 1 to 8 GB in order to improve the performance of a web application but just wanted to check
if once the memory is increased to 8GB will the host server have sufficient RAM to run properly.
    Your advise is much appreciated.

    Hi Joe,

Thanks for your reply, please see the attached file with screenshots taken from the Resource monitor.
Under the memory tab it does say that it has 1.3gb of standby RAM plus 2.2Gb of free RAM.

    Thanks
