    hangs after updates

Performed maintenance and windows updates on daughters hp dv6000 with vista 32bit and 2gb ram. Used Clean Disk(including deletion of all but last Restore Point), Glary Utilities, and Auslogics defrag and optimization. Also ran SpinRite on hard drive.

The updates totaled the last 45 including Security Essentials, Net Frame, and Vista.

All was OK for about 15 minutes when the cursor froze. Rebooting so far seems to have brought it back to normal.

Anyone know if any of the updates could be the cause of the freeze?

    Thanks.

Open Windows Update and click on "View Update History" to see which update failed. My guess is it's one of the .Net Framework updates. These have been the most problamatical. If so, uninstall all versions of .net and reinstall the latest version. Then run Windows Update again.
