    Batch file code for TAB and ENTER

    After typing in an HTML address, I need six TABS and then an ENTER key symbol. Can you show me the Batch file code for this task ?

    You can't really do this in a batch file. You could write an AutoIt script to do it, or you could use the mouse.

    cheers, Paul

    For anything complicated, I too suggest AutoIt. But if all you want is automation for typing the tabs and enter, then the simple solution would be any typing assistance program. TyperTask, for example.

    Setup:
    Create a folder in your AppData area called TyperTask.
    Download TyperTask.exe (53 KB) to that folder.
    http://www.vtaskstudio.com/support.php
    Run it.
    Open it via the icon in your Notifications Area.
    Add this line:
    Code:
    {Control}{Alt}T={Tab}{Tab}{Tab}{Tab}{Tab}{Tab}{Enter}
    Minimize.
    Restart TyperTask.

    Thereafter, hitting Ctrl+Alt+T types six tabs and an enter.

    Another great tool is TypeItIn. http://www.wavget.com/typeitin.html It's free to use for 30 days and on $20 to buy. I use it constantly... in Unix, Windows, whatever. It'll type words as well as commands... Tab, Function Keys, Mouse clicks, Page Up/Down, you name it, it does it. This will be the best $20 you'll ever spend. I can't count the number of hours it has saved me. Tom
