    Bloated PowerPoint Files? (2000 SR-1 (9.0.5519))

I have PowerPoint (Ver. 9.0.5519) on both my home computer and laptop. I've noticed that when I create PP files on my notebook, the files are much smaller than when I create these using my home computer. For example, I just created a presentation and on the notebook it is only about 78k. However, on my home desktop, when I open the file and then save it ("save as") on my hard drive, the 78k file goes up to 280k -- and I did not make any modifications! Both computers are running on Windows 2000. Any suggestions as to not have my file sizes increase? Thanks!

Thanks for the info Sammy! However, my PP presentations are just straight text using a template. I do not add pictures, jpgs, wavs, etc (I like to keep it simple).
