Medical symbols or abbreviations (Word 97 for Windows)

Anyone know of a way to add symbols and abbreviations used in the medical field. I'm looking for symbols like, but not limited to, a lower case 'c' with a straight line (dash) over it (means "with"), and those seen on prescription forms.

The simplist solution would be a font. I'd think there must be one out there somewhere, but I've never seen one (and I'm in a health sciences publishing company).

Some, like the c with the line or the i with a line, you could probably create yourself with regular characters and accents and save them on a toolbar or keyboard shortcut. But the only way to make your own for ounces, minims, and the like (does anybody still use those?) would be with a graphic.

Of course, there are many brilliant people on this site, so someone may know of a really easy solution.

I don't know a solution for Word97, either.

In Word2000, I found the symbols shown in the appended file in "Arial Unicode MS" (dram, ounce, minim, prescription take).
If you click "Insert>Symbol" and choose a symbol, you can see the code in the status bar of the document. Since the symbols are shown sorted, you can locate the symbol pretty easily once you know the code (the small i with macron, code 012B, should be available in Word97, too).
