    Document Management

Sorry to bother you guys with this, but our VP wants to purchase a software inventory product. We had a vendor in yesterday from Smeadlink. I was wondering if anyone heard of them. The software runs on either an Access Database or SQL server. It really looked like nothing more than a souped up windows explorer package with neat folders. The only feature that might be a possibility was the fact that you could scan ancient university files and inventory them but the rest wasn't very impressive. Does anyone out there have any suggestions?

    Melanie,

I've no real concept of your needs- I was just prompted by your description of the product as a souped up explorer. That reminded me that in the Freebie Software Finds, there's a review of Power desk which sounds like the same sort of thing but free.
