Show only most recent DATE (97/SR2)

An employee training table includes fields: emp#, TrngTopic#, Date. A record is added each time an employee re-takes a given training topic (e.g., for annual training requirement). I want report to show only most recent date.

    qryAllTrng sorts by DATE
qryRecentTrng groups records by (1) employee, (2) trngtopic then shows LAST date. This query shows a date that is neither the oldest nor the most recent (still true even if year is ignored). How can I get desired result?

    Hi,
Try using Max rather than Last on your date field.
    Hope that helps.
