For those of you who use DxO Optics Pro image editing software (a great program by the way) it seems that an update to W7 in the last couple of weeks has changed its behaviour. It started hanging on me in "Process" mode. Turns out that you now have to click "Run as Administrator" when launching it when you didn't have to previously. I set it to always run as administrator in its properties. This wasn't on their troubleshooting page but I can't believe I'm the only one with the problem. I spent 2 or 3 days off and on dicking around trying to get it to work by deleting new background programs, running "ResMon" and "What's My Computer Doing" etc. never thinking that you had to change its launch privileges. Pascal G., a DxO support guy, suggested trying this (thanks!). This applies to 64 bit build 218 and the recent build 229. Just thought I'd put this out there in case anybody else is tearing their hair out..
