    Installing Ruby

I'm just beginning to learn the Ruby language. Every book I read seems to have a different way to install Ruby.
I want to learn both Ruby and Ruby on Rails. I'll be installing Ruby on a HP xw6000 pc running Windows XP Pro.

What is the best way to install Ruby?

For Windows users there is a .msi file that will install Ruby. On the Download page at the Ruby website (http://www.ruby-lang.org/en/downloads/) there are descriptions of the options, including describing the .msi installation.
