Re: Text To Speech (Word XP)

...an interesting idea. Many possibilities for an office environment too.

Well, if you don't mind coding up a document or template, this should be pretty easy.

There should be a way to trap every keystroke typed into a Word document, but I'd have to think about that.

Attached is a quick document using a userform to trap the keystrokes. It's my interpretation of a feedback form. You'll have to add the XL speech automation statements (which you know how to do) and comment out my msgboxes.

    Text To Speech (Word XP)

    Hi,

I am trying to make Word "Sound" each key pressed - This is for young pupils learning phonetics and keyboard skills.

I have followed instructions about inserting an Excel Application object into Word from <A target="_blank" HREF=http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q287/1/20.asp>http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/ar...s/Q287/1/20.asp</A> but I am having problems making this work on each key press. Highlighting text and running the macro works fine.

    Can anyone help me ?

    Thanks in advance
    Alex
