Unhappy Making a bootable thumb drive.

I have a valid ISO file which I am able to burn to a CD, but when I try to make a flash drive bootable it fails. I have downloaded two different tools from MS web site. I have used the CD which is supposed to create the flash drive and I have downloaded the program associated with this. and that fails also. I have formatted two flash drives and that didn't work. I even formatted a 8GB from 32 to NTSF and that didn't work. I called a tech at the local computer repair shop and he couldn't help. The ISO works just fine on a CD, but will not install on the flash drive. Also I tried the usb slots in several places and that didn't help. Here is the link to where the software is located for downloading. Maybe someone can tell me what I need to do to accomplish this task. Thanks in advance

    1. The .ISO file format is specific to CDs and DVDs. Also the "El Torito" standard for bootable CD's is not designed for thumb drives.

    2. There are several ways to make a thumb drive bootable. An internet search will lead you to them. Then, once you make the drive bootable you can copy the files contained on the CD to the thumb drive.

You also have to make sure your computer supports booting from USB and that USB boot is a higher priority in BIOS than the hard disk.
