    WLM problems

I have just had to reload W7. I have now got Windows Live 2012. No problems as such except.

    1) emails that arrive with images ask me, each time, to display images. I would prefer to display every time without the question.
    2) I have a file with all my old .pst messages. Can these be imported into the new storage file (I know where this is)

    Many thanks,

    Norman

1 . a. Near the top and NEXT to the "HOME" icon, there is a BLUE colored drop down box. Click to open that BLUE tab with the arrow.
    b. Scroll down to "Options"; click on "OPTIONS"
    c. Click on "SAFETY OPTIONS". In the new box, you will see a tab that says "SECURITY"
    d. Click on "SECURITY
    e. Under Download images, uncheck "Block images..... and check "Show Images ...."

Download & install Mailstore Home from Mailstore.com

    1) Use Mailstore to read all of my Outlook email.
    2) Export to "File System" using the eml format
    3) Export to a directory such as C:\temp\email
    4) In Live Mail use the Import Function
    5) Select "Windows Mail" format
    6) Select the directory such as C:\temp\email

Many thanks. I'd looked at the security page several time and missed the "show images" option every time - who's the dummy then.

I've tried the "import" option as described (but the pst file is in D:/email) and nothing is brought across. I'll move it to C drive and try.

    Thanks.

Glad you got your image problem fixed.

For the second problem, the location of the eml file shouldn't matter. Did you use Mailstore to export the pst file to an eml file? That's the file you should be importing into Windows Live mail.

Jerry, no I didn't use mailstore as I was already using live mail. I therefore thought the files would be the same.

Anyway, many thanks for all your help, I'm off to the optician to get a stronger pair of glasses. That way I may see something I looked at least 6 times!
