    Question Volsnap 14 Error

I am running Windows 7 on a Toshiba Satellite laptop. I use Carbonite online backup system, which seemed to be causing my system to crawl and often crash. After working with Carbonite's support team, it was determined that Carbonite was not the culprit, rather my Volume Shadow Servuce is not working. They found many errors in my event viewer for Volsnap 14 error, a copy of the event is attached. I ran checkdisk, which determined my hard drive is healthy, and also ran sfc /scannow, which found no errors. I would like to fix this, and Carbonite suggested I should reinstall VSS. I have searched how to reinstall, but none of the results seemed to address the reinstall directly.

Will someone refer me to a site where reinstalling VSS is covered, or some other fixes I can try. I really do not want to reinstall Windows 7 if I can avoide it.

I read the answer at the link your suggested, but I don't have a Windows disk. How do I do this without a disk?
