I don't use Kaspersky Anti-Virus, but after I installed the patch, my Windows 7 PC would frequently insist on running CHKDSK whenever I booted it. I uninstalled the 2823324 patch and now no longer have the problem.

Microsoft has now issued a replacement (KB2840149) for the faulty patch (KB2823324) which will be delivered by Automatic Updates to systems which need it: KB2840149 (Windows 7 64-bit)

(If you don't use automatic updates or Windows 7 64-bit, see MS13-036 for Vista and Windows 7 32-bit links. The original and replacement patches did not apply to XP or W8.)
