Putting 'Snips' into MS Word document

Just received a new Samsung laptop (Win 7/IE-10/64 bit). With my old laptop (Vista/IE-9), I could 'copy' a Snip, then paste it into any Word document. I do the same procedure now, but all I get in the Word doc is a big, black DOT. I use Snips constantly. What am I doing wrong? Your help will be appreciated. Jim

What version of Word are you using. I assume you're referring to the Windows 7 Snipping tool? Pasting from the snipping tool into Word 2007 works fine on my Windows 7 desktop.

You don't have Picture Placeholders enabled in Word by any chance?
