Cannot open new messages nor can I reply to displayed messages.

    Ran TDSSKiller from Kaspersky OK
    Ran Malwarebytes OK
    ran Malwsare RootKit OK
    Ran Superantispyware OK
    Ran Vipre OK
    d
Uninstalled [Repaired] Windows Essentials 2012 -Then reinstalled Problem still present.
Did a System Restore -Problems still present
Uninstalled IE 10 ;back to IE9 - still same problems

What else can I do to fix this problem??

Should I backup messages/contacts then Uninstall WLM completely?
How Do I Backup/Export the account info? Individually? I have 6 accounts. several are IMAP others POP. Then Import each account?

    Thank you for your help.

Tr a repair install of Windows Live Mail. Go to
    Control panel
    Programs and features
    Highlight windows essentials
    Cick on Uninstall/change
    Repair all windows essential programs

Go to Start, type "Event" in the search box. Click on Event Viewer. Expand the "Windows Logs" section. Click on "Application". See if there are errors listed which seem to be related to WLM. You can also check the "System" log but it is unlikely anything about this will be there.

    Joe and Jerry,

As I tried different things the stranger things happened. I backed up major data items then did a system upgrade from the original Windows 7 Ultimate disk.
My system is working well right now.

I did find one strange thing on downloads. the file name would be changed to filename_exe or file_name_zip. Thus I could not run any new programs.
Have you seen any thing like this??

Thank you both for your help

    Bob
