Internet header (OL2000)

Occasionally I want to see the full internet header on a received email msg. This requires going to 'View' then 'Options', even tho I have 'show message header' turned on.

Is there an easy way to put an 'internet header' icon on the received message toolbar?

The easiest thing is to put the Options... command on the toolbar using Tools, Customize...

There is no direct route to the Internet headers information in the Outlook object model. Actually, there isn't any indirect route either; when I need to access the information, I use SendKeys to pop open the dialog. There is a COM add-in called Redemption that provides programmatic access to the Internet headers. However, I have not tried it. For quickest results, please refer to the previous paragraph.

Bingo! Thanks - it is now a one click operation.

    Hi Jim,

Just a quick thanks for posting this. I knew there was a way to do this and spent an hour, with the Corporate Exchange guru, without working out how to read the Internet header.
