After I have completed a backup on ext. harddrive and I try to remove hardware and eject media, I receive
    the attached message.

Yes, a problem not necessarily related to EaseUS ToDo. Try logging off and back on or rebooting and see if the issue persists. I don't have a lot of experience with such errors...I'm a yanker!

    Thanks Jerry.
My HDD is set to Quick removal so I assume I can remove without going the safe removal route.
I still would like to know what the problem is. Easeus tech have replied to say the will try and reproduce the error and try and solve it.
Otherwise I too will have to become a yanker!
    Regards
    Dave

When you use Easeus to create a backup I believe it then monitors your hard drives or, at least, the drive on which you stored the backup. So, if Easeus is montoring that drive it's not available for removal, I suppose. On my Windows 7 system with Easeus ToDo Backup Free v5.3 installed, there's a background Process shown in Task Manager called EuWatch.exe*32. You could try killing/ending this Process to see if that enables normal removal of the drive in question. Or, simply shutdown the computer at which point you may remove whatever you wish!
