    admin,
Hello... could you answer a few questions first ...i have just done this and need to know a few things first

    1. Do you have a XP Installation disk , or are you installing from an "Image" from a previous PC?

    2. Do you have a "Floppy Drive" to use to install drivers ( F-6 at installation)

    3. My XP Pro SP-3 only has IDE drivers present so if your BIOS is set to AHCI the OS will "Blue Screen"

    4. Do you have any "Pay For" Imaging programs? Like Macrium Reflect , Acronis

    5. Unless your install is on a PC that is setup to boot IDE HD's you won't be able to boot . ( without installing the AHCI drivers)

    6. There are ways to do this .... Regards Fred

    admin,
Hello... There are a couple of three ways to do this ...more questions...

    1. Is your XP OS now bootable ?

    2. In your BIOS settings (Accessible at boot time) do you have the ability to change from IDE to AHCI \ Raid?

    3. Do you want to do a Fresh Install or do you want to just change to SATA From IDE?

    4. You need to find out what ACER SATA AHCI drivers you need (AMD or intel.) Either do a search for your Acer model, or go to their website, and download the one for your PC.

    5. Once you answer these we can proceed from there... Regards Fred

PS: In your answer to my first question ...your answer is "Yes"??? .....XP Disk or Image?
