    Preview Pane (OE 6)

When I had OE5.5, I had to hit the spacebar to download the message - only thing showing was the header. This was nice since you could not get infected with an "autoexecute" virus. Ever since I got OE 6, the messages seem to download anyway. Under Tools/Options the "Automatically download messages when viewing in the Preview Pane" is unchecked. Checking and then unchecking this option seems to have no effect - the messages still display in the preview pane.

    Anybody else having this problem?

    Re: Preview Pane (OE 6)

I have OE5 but the following should work equally as well in OE6. Go to View in the Menubar and click Layout. Then in the Window Layout Properties window uncheck "Show preview pane"; in the event that you might find the latter grayed out, check the "Views Bar" box.
