    Word (XP)

I would like to point out a bug (a feature?) in Word2002 (and maybe also in 2000). Make a mail merge letter. Click on the Mail Merge Recipients button in the Mail merge toolbar. Make such a selection that no records will show. You will get a message box: "Word could not merge the main document with the data source because the data records were empty or no data records matched your query options." So far so good. Click OK and you expect to have the original good selection. But no, you will find yourself in a endless loop
    Ciao,

    Gideon

    Re: Word (XP)

I still have Word 2000, so I don't know how XP has changed. However, in Word 2000, the Find Record (there is no Find entry) does find matching records. If you use it in the main document & merge code names are showing, the only thing you'll notice is that the record number will change.
