Set Values in Query Result using Macro

I have a query that compared a 2 tables (Sharepoint List & Comparison Table) and returned the items that existed on both tables. The query also returned a column (Status) from the Sharepoint List that needs to be updated to a new value. I now have approx 3000 records, and the Status column needs to be updated to read "Closed" for all 3000 records, regardless of what the status currently is. I am very familiar with macros in Excel, but not so good in Access.

Can anyone help with a quick suggestion?

    Tombo,

Welcome to the lounge as a new poster.

You can use your existing query as the source for a new query.
Change the query type to Update
In the Update to: row type Closed under the Status column.
    Run the query.

So much easier than bothering with a macro. Thanks for the help.
