    Watermark macro (97 SR2)

    Hello folks

I'm looking for a macro to add watermarks to document headers. The user needs to be able to choose which watermark they want (stuff like public, secret, etc.) and then have the macro loop through all the headers and add the desired word (or graphic). It needs to preserve any header text that is already there. We'll need to be able to update a document's watermark too (something secret might become public) and to remove it if necessary.

Hope one of you clever people can help me with this.

    Thanks
    Jane

    Jane,

Have a look at this - previous threads where macros for inserting watermarks were posted - would either of these help you to get started?

Thanks Gary - it's good, and does get me started ... but there's still a long way to go 8-)

    Thanks again

There used to be a utility available for download on the Microsoft Site. I think it was called "StampIt" or something similar. I think it did what you are asking for.
