UK Government's outdated push to Windows XP and IE software is unacceptable

What a crock of ordure! One old dodgy site is not evidence that the government is doing anything - a sample size of one does not a study make.

I didn't read it! A link does not a post make.
If you have something to say...then say it!

At least parts of our Government, like the VA, still uses Windows XP.
If it works, don't mess with it! Eh?

I'm pretty sure, it would cost them Billions of $'s to do an across the board upgrade.
It would involve many thousands of PC's throughout the entire VA system.

This isn't just one old dodgy website though, it is the UK government's flagship website which encompasses many areas including pensions and benefits which they want to take fully online.

It wouldn't be a surprise to me to hear something like this, especially when governments and corporations
spent the last 10 year trying to lock Windows XP down, successfully I might add.

MS will offer them a huge discount and they will eventually drop XP altogether.

It's just a little bit of whine and whistle to sweeten the deal.
