Performance issue- Slow resume from Standby

Yup, I'm still finding things via Events Viewer. Here's a few shots.

Shut down your system's performance monitor too, it doesn't need to be running constantly in the background.
Clean out the event viewer from time to time as well with this.
Avoid going into sleepmode with anything in your CD/DVD drive or card reader drive. As your OS awaken it might be unnecessarily trying to access something.

Sorry guys, you're dealing with a PC illiterate. I read Bruce's link & it's "Greek to me", don't know what 'SD card' means for one thing. The only thing in Clint's reply that I understand is 'clean out EV', I've done that in the past, even have the batch file saved. But then have kicked my fanny sometime later when I needed to know how far back a certain problem started. I don't have anything in my DVD slot & don't know what 'card reader drive' means.
