    Separate audio from video

    Hi

I need to take the Audio off of a video I made. The video is no good way too dark to be usable but I want the voices how do I seperate the two to leave the audio usable. Done in an AVI file.

    Thanks for any help

Download the OpenSource and free program Audacity. Launch Audacity and start a capture, play the video and you can save the audio in a variety of formats.

Sometimes (Vista and Win7 in particular) you have to take the Headphone output and input to Mic/Line In. A splitter is useful to plug in headphones or external speakers to hear the audio if you want to edit.

I have always used Format Factory..
I just load a video in and then save it as a MP3 file.
