    Exhange resending after reboot

I have an Exchange 5.5 server that crashed and needed to be rebooted. After the reboot, messages that had been previously sent were automatically resent. Why is this and is there a way to prevent it from happending in the future if we need to reboot again?

    Thanks...Scott

how old were they? only messages in the queue that hadn't been confirmed as sent should be resent.
