    End of File (Access 97)

I am not an expert when it comes to databases but I have a database that is shared. Sometimes when the database users are data entering, they try to add a record it won't let them. They lose what they have entered and they have to close the database to get out, losing whatever they data entered. What causes this and how do I prevent it? They get a message saying they are at the end of the file??

I've never heard of this message, but how big is your database?

I have seen this statement, but my knowledge is limited. It could possibly have to do with the queary underneath the form. Or the control box query. If they are limiting then it may not let them add another piece of data. Or you have created an item that is identical to another item and it will not let you duplicate.

Maybe this will trigger some of the more knowledgeable people to help solve your problem.
