    Downloading YouTube video to iPod

I just received a request from my Grand-Neices, ages 5 & 7, to see if I can tell them how to download a Youtube video (only audio needed) and get it on their iPod. I tried to install two different free Youtube downloaders and neither would work. On the 2nd one I don't even think it installed because I unchecked all the carpware selections. I'm using FF 21 although I also tried them in IE10 this is all on Win 8 Pro.

Any help would be greatly appreciated since I have exactly zero experience with downloading from Youtube. It would be nice if the file could be saved as an .acc (apple format) audio file.

    Thanks Much.

Just tried Easy YouTube Video Downloader 6.8 FF add-on and it worked for MP3 128k. AAC is an option as well.

I have always used YTD downloader with success. It is updated fairly often and usually the latest version is needed to download the most recent videos:

I use the Firefox extension MP4 Downloader, which says it is "iPod compatible" (whatever an iPod is...).

    Hey Y'all,

I tried the FF add-on first since it's my preferred browser and it worked just fine. It created a 20mb file. Now hopefully my Neice will be able to get it on her iPod using iTunes as Google searches say you can. Thanks again to all for your helpful suggestions.
