    Startup Folder

Is there somewhere I can find a simple description on Starting Up Windows 98? The help files just seem to jump around and are so frustrating.
During bootup Windows 98 stops about 3 times and I have to press a key for it to continue.
Also it takes ages to get to the log-in screen and always starts with Windows Explorer.
In Windows 3.11 we used to be able to check for the cause and edit the sys.ini or autoexec.bat files. It just seems so much more difficult in Wijndows 98.
I have tried to open and Remove from the Startup Folder but there is nothing in the folder.
How can I customise the startup?

Start button/run/ then type msconfig.exe. Go to the last tab and disable any app causing you trouble.

Thank you. I discovered several "TV" thingos that a rogue site (I believe related to Canadian Broadcasting CBC) has left lying around.

Thanks. I found out about msconfig when searching the site after I posted the enquiry. I tried it , and not being sure which apps to select I selected all and it did stop Explorer from starting.
Since I also have a very slow bootup and have to press the space bar several times during bootup, before the windows screeen , I tried to do the same on the other win.ini tab, and lost the mouse pointer. Im not sure which app is causing the problem.
