    Formula for Date/Time

I have a developing spreadsheet that manipulates a lot of dates. In one cell I have a date in the format of 5/21/2013. In a second cell I have time in the format of 10:00 for example. I need to combine them in the format of yyyymmddhhmm then be able to add x number of minutes at various times.

I would appreciate if anyone can show me the formula I would need. Thank you in advance

If they are Excel Dates and times, you can just add them together and do a custom number format as:
    yyyymmddhhmm
to display as you want it. The custom format allows the values to remain as a number which can be used for additional calculations

You can add minutes as desired. If entered as minutes in a cell, you must convert it to days (dividing by 1440 = 24*60, the minutes in a day). Excel does all date and time calculations in units of days. If you enter the minutes as something like 0:10 (for ten minutes), excel will do the conversion for you.

    Al,

    This will also work:
    Cell A1- 5/21/2013
    Cell A2- 10:00
Cell A3- any additional minutes- ex 00:01

    Cell A4 =TEXT(A1+A2+A3,"yyyymmddhhmm")=201305211001
