Hotmail unusable for a minute or two

    Hi,

Since converting to outlook.com, I have found Hotmail is unusable for 1 or 2 minutes. I get timer showing up in the tab saying "connecting" like it's downloading something or connecting something. Clicking on emails or folders has no effect until it stops doing whatever it is doing.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Is there a change I can make in settings to stop this problem?

Welcome to the cloud! Since Hotmail keeps everything in a cloud server, you can experience delays due to internet access to synchronize he files/folders. I usually don't have much of a problem with Outlook.com but Windows Live Mail will hang sometimes synching my Yahoo IMAP account.

    Hi Jerry,

Thanks. Thing is, I always switch off all syncing and cloud stuff for privacy reasons. Of course, it's all so complicated that you don't know what's going on. I wish there was a program like a firewall that clearly told you everything that your computer is connecting to and uploading and downloading so that you could block everything except the minimum.
